Healthy Waffles

These waffles are a perfect Sunday breakfast when you’ve got a little more time and fancy a treat. We love to eat them with strawberries, raspberries and blueberries. As well as being filling, these healthy waffles are quick and are customisable so you can make them just the way you or your family like them. The recipe makes a mix that will serve 5 people and you can use any milk you like (we used unsweetened almond). The honey can also be adjusted to your personal preference. Since this batch makes quite a lot you can cool and then freeze any leftover waffles. This will keep them fresh for up to 6 months and all you need to do is toast them when you want to eat them. Keep it nutritious as well as delicious (funny aren’t we?) and have these waffles.

 

Ingredients:

  • 500ml Any Milk
  • 500ml Self Raising Wholewheat Flour
  • 2 Medium Eggs
  • 3Tbsp Melted Coconut Oil
  • 4Tbsp Honey

 

Method

1. Whisk all the wet ingredients together in a large bowl

2. Add the flour and continue whisking until you have a smooth batter

3. Heat up your waffle maker and cook until golden brown and crispy
